Create a note
This guide explains how to start a new note in Scripvio: where to tap, what happens at creation, and how to use the editor the first time. Every note starts as a draft; publishing to the Library is a separate step.

Where to create a note
Section titled “Where to create a note”Three common entry points:
| Entry | Action | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Create (bottom tab) | + button → Note | Creates or resumes an untitled draft, then editor |
| Home | New note (quick actions) | Opens the Create tab (same flow as above) |
| Library → Notes (empty list) | New note button | Sends you to creation when you have no published notes yet |
Step 1 — Start creation
Section titled “Step 1 — Start creation”- Tap the Create tab.
- (Optional) Check the Notes segment for existing drafts.
- Tap the + button at the bottom right.
- In the sheet, tap Note — subtitle: Service or study notes — offline and synced.
Smart “untitled” behavior
Section titled “Smart “untitled” behavior”Scripvio avoids stacking empty notes:
| Situation | Behavior |
|---|---|
| No untitled draft | A new note is created → editor |
| Already two untitled notes | Warning → opens one of them instead of a third |
| Network failure on create | Could not create the note — try again online if needed |
Limit message: You already have two untitled notes. Give one of them a title before creating another.
Tip: fill in Title / theme early to unlock new creations.
Step 2 — The “Note” editor screen
Section titled “Step 2 — The “Note” editor screen”The editor opens with the app bar title Note and a back button (usually to Create or the Library).
Top actions (top right)
Section titled “Top actions (top right)”| Icon / menu | Action |
|---|---|
| Star | Mark as favorite (even while draft) |
| ⋮ menu | View read-only, Publish (if draft), Delete this note? |
The new note is a draft: it appears under Create → Notes, not in the Library until you publish.
Step 3 — Fill in fields (on-screen order)
Section titled “Step 3 — Fill in fields (on-screen order)”The editor is built for a service or study: general information first, then detail.
1. Title / theme
Section titled “1. Title / theme”- Top field: Title / theme
- Placeholder Untitled when empty
- Required to publish later (Add a title before publishing.)
- Autosave after a short typing pause (subtle indicator: spinner, check ✓, or error)

Offline from the first tap
Section titled “Offline from the first tap”| Case | Behavior |

You can write the whole service offline; publish when online to show the note on another device via the Library.

No. Autosave and local storage keep the draft.
Does the note show on my other phone immediately?
Only after sync, and especially after publish (the Library lists published content).
Can I create a note from Bible Search?
Search adds verses to an existing draft; create the note first via Create → + → Note.
Why doesn’t Home “New note” open the editor directly?
It opens the Create hub; then use + → Note (same as creating from Create).
