Questions about working without network, the status banner, the queue, and when the Library does not yet match the server.

Using offline
Section titled “Using offline”Can I use Scripvio without Internet?
Mostly yes: notes (drafts), journal, tracking, reading cached Library content.
No for: first sign-in, new Bible search, PDF, profile edits, delete account, add verse from Search.
Can I create an account offline?
No. Sign-up and first authentication need the server.
What do the top banner messages mean?

Banner appears mainly on Create, Library, note/journal editors.
Synchronization
Section titled “Synchronization”Were my offline edits uploaded?
Indicators:
- Banner gone, no waiting message;
- No more
local_…id on the note; - Published content visible in Library after refresh.
Sync starts automatically when network returns (no dedicated Sync button in current UI).
What if synchronization fails?
- Check Wi‑Fi / mobile data;
- Keep the app open a few seconds;
- Reopen Scripvio;
- If Sync failed… persists: note the message and contact support.
Your text stays on the device until you sign out.
Is there a manual sync button?
No in the current version: reconnecting and opening the app retriggers queue flush (notes → journal → tracking).
Offline publish — what happens?
Message: Publish queued (offline). (note or journal)
After successful sync, the version is published and appears in the Library.

Two phones show different data
Normal if one is offline or not synced yet. Connect both, wait for the banner to finish, refresh the Library.
Avoid editing the same note offline on both in parallel.
PDF export and sync
If patches are not uploaded, Scripvio offers:
Sync before export — Some changes are not synced yet…
PDF reflects the server version.
Ids and sign-out
Section titled “Ids and sign-out”What are local_… ids?
Temporary device ids (local_, local_section_, local_verse_) until the server confirms. Replaced automatically after sync — same editor screen.
Sign out while offline — what is the risk?
Dialog You are offline: local data (including unsynced notes) may be removed from the device.
With queue: changes… not synced yet…

Search and related modules
Section titled “Search and related modules”Does Tracking update after sync?
Yes: offline entries feed the dashboard after upload. Calendar may stay approximate until full sync.
