Drafts and published content

In Scripvio, personal writing usually follows two steps: draft (work in progress) then published (reference in the Library). This guide explains that logic app-wide — notes and journal — from a « where do I find what » perspective.

Publish details stay in type-specific guides:

Notes — draft and publish · Journal — draft and publish · Library overview

A draft is the working version of a document (note or journal entry):

  • Autosave (including offline on device);
  • Draft badge in edit / preview;
  • menu with Publish (and for notes, Delete, etc.);
  • not in the Library until published.
CaseRule
New documentEach + → Note or + → Journal entry starts a separate thread
UntitledLimit: 2 untitled notes · 1 untitled journal entry — add title before creating more
Fix publishedOne active version draft per document — else A draft already exists… / Open draft

A published version is what Scripvio shows in the Library:

Published notePublished journal
ReadRead screen, Published chipJournal screen
FavoriteYes (list + read)Yes
PDF exportYes (connection required)No
New versionNew version…Same
PrivateYes — your Scripvio account onlySame

Publish means « freeze this version for my Library catalog », not « make it public on the internet ».

Network helpfulPublish queued (offline). possible
  1. Open the draft under Create (right segment).
  2. Review content (View read-only).
  3. Publish.
  4. Confirm dialog (note or journal wording).
  5. Outcome:
    • Note published. / Entry published. — often opens Library read;
    • Publish queued (offline). — sent later.

The draft leaves the active Create list; the published version appears in the Library.

You do not edit published body text in place in the Library.

Can I unpublish back to draft?
No simple « remove from Library » action. Use New version…, edit, Publish (or abandon the draft).

If I delete a draft in Create, does Library lose the published item?
No — published stays until replaced by a new publish or removed via note actions.

Do Create and Library share the same search?
No — each tab has its own list; Library search only finds published content.

Must I publish every small edit?
No — work in draft; publish when the version deserves to be your Library reference.
