Drafts and published content
In Scripvio, personal writing usually follows two steps: draft (work in progress) then published (reference in the Library). This guide explains that logic app-wide — notes and journal — from a « where do I find what » perspective.
Publish details stay in type-specific guides:
→ Notes — draft and publish · Journal — draft and publish · Library overview

What is a draft?
Section titled “What is a draft?”A draft is the working version of a document (note or journal entry):
- Autosave (including offline on device);
- Draft badge in edit / preview;
- ⋮ menu with Publish (and for notes, Delete, etc.);
- not in the Library until published.
Several drafts?
Section titled “Several drafts?”| Case | Rule |
|---|---|
| New document | Each + → Note or + → Journal entry starts a separate thread |
| Untitled | Limit: 2 untitled notes · 1 untitled journal entry — add title before creating more |
| Fix published | One active version draft per document — else A draft already exists… / Open draft |
What is published content?
Section titled “What is published content?”A published version is what Scripvio shows in the Library:
| Published note | Published journal | |
|---|---|---|
| Read | Read screen, Published chip | Journal screen |
| Favorite | Yes (list + read) | Yes |
| PDF export | Yes (connection required) | No |
| New version | ⋮ → New version… | Same |
| Private | Yes — your Scripvio account only | Same |
Publish means « freeze this version for my Library catalog », not « make it public on the internet ».
Why publish?
Section titled “Why publish?”| Need | Staying draft | After publish |
|---|---|---|
| Find in catalog | Create only (+ Home resume) | Library (search, sort, favorites) |
| Comfortable read | Preview from editor | Dedicated read screen |
| Share note as PDF | Limited / blocked for local draft | Export as PDF… (published note) |
| Align devices | Draft sync possible | Clear reference version |

Keep a draft as long as you need; publish when that version is « official » for you.
